VideoCom – a single-line CCD camera for high-resolution motion recording and relative measurement of intensities

VideoCom is the new, multi-purpose single-line CCD camera (charge-coupled device) from LD Didactic, which images one or more bodies on a CCD line with 2048 pixels to register their position (see Fig. 1). The registered positions are transferred to a computer via a serial interface at a rate of up to 80 times per second. This process is repeated continually, enabling the computer to graphically display and evaluate the complete motions of all bodies used.
